PETALING JAYA: Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong had his first meeting with the ambassador of Qatar to Malaysia, Fahad Mohammed Kafoud, on Tuesday. Dr Wee, in a post on his social media account, said he shared some information on Malaysia’s aviation and rail sectors with the ambassador during the meeting. “I (suggested) that both countries have a lot of mutual interests in developing our transport infrastructure together, as we welcome Middle Eastern investments to Malaysia,” he said. The meeting was also attended by ambassador of Kuwait to Malaysia Dr Hamad Burhamah, ambassador of Palestine to Malaysia Walid Abu Ali, ambassador of Lebanon George Bitar Ghanem, ambassador of Oman Al-Abbas Ibrahim Hamed Al Harthi, ambassador of Jordan Thamer Abdalla Mohammad Adwan and ambassador of Algeria Nasreddine Rimouche. “(I am) grateful to be hosted to a luncheon,” he said.
